Tim choose the path to the right. The forest was all around him. He plunged himself into the dark. Away from people, away from civilization. Away from the scene of his final crime. With Jessica dead, he was it’s last possible vessel. And he was indeed it’s vessel.
He was hearing double. He was hearing double. That's how he knew it was there. He was hearing double. He was hearing double. That’s how he always knew it was there.
When the only car he could see was an ant in the distance, Tim drove off of the road and into the woods. When the trees were too thick for his car to penetrate, he shut it off and went on foot.

The Girl WIth Red Eyes : The Kiss
On a warmer night, she and I stole away to the roofless treehouse in my backyard. Her eyes were shining that night. They were shining not with power, but with wonder. The stars were out that night, more brilliant and beautiful than they had been in years. Together we looked, we looked at the beautiful stars. It was spiritual in a way that I had never felt before. Not like when you’re young and at church, and you think you’re talking to God. In that moment I felt for the first time like my spirit was real, and that it was connecting to her’s.
“Can you imagine whats out there?” I asked. “Think about it, the

Erika and Ephraim urged their horses up the steps to the second level of the Black Temple. Gorgons cast their dark curses at them, barely missing. Maelduins swung their mighty axes that were parried, and blows were returned. Wights tried to out-duel the brother and sister, but they were easily dispatched. The monsters fell to the ground and vanished into darkness. With the wall of monsters gone, the man behind them was revealed. Standing a mere few meters away was Lyon; Prince of Grado, Creator of the Dark Stone, Enemy of Renais, and their

Draft : Story of Morren File 1
Just outside the great City-State of Ishbannel, there was a small village called Feght. It’s population was minimal, and it’s mark on the world was less than negligible. Something big and exciting hadn’t happened to Feght in generations, and that exciting thing was merely a dreary carnival passing through. So it came as a shock to the town when a middle aged man was found dead in the shopping square. Even more shockingly, nobody had ever seen this man before in their lives.
The finding of this body lay over the town’s head for days and days. People were wary of all others, even neighbors they had known for years. Wi

Dinner De Luca : Part 1 : Stella De Luca
In the hours before the first De Luca family dinner in recent history, Stella De Luca, the 67 year old matriarch of the family, ran around her house preparing. She laid out appetizers, tended to her gravy ("Real Italians call it gravy, not tomato sauce," she always said), and tidied up the place. Sudoku books and romance novels went into boxes that she placed haphazardly in her bedroom, her worn and used Bible went from the top of the book shelf to the center of the living room coffee table. It was mindless for her, as she had been preparing for parties for decades. She had not changed her ways in all that time; Same items, same recipes, sam
The seat at the end of the couch
Is reserved for you
It's your office
Its your throne
When you sit on it
You close the door
You shut out the world
And recede into your kingdom
One of calls and emails
Staff and clients
Numbers and Dollars
You manage your Kingdom
But you forget your Republic
"Jake, just get in on the left side!" My sister said, exasperated. She had climbed into the family car in my seat, the rightmost in the back. A large box prevented her from scooting to the next seat over, so I was forced to sit in her seat, the leftmost. I did so bitterly.
I don't know what it is about the rightmost backseat that I like so much, I just do. I've been sitting there since I was a baby, it's where my parents put my carseat. Since then, I've always endeavored to sit there, no matter which car I was in.
So with that bitter in my mouth, I sat in the leftmost backseat. The seatbelt felt weird. My parents started that car, and we pu
Toward the future we march
Toward future we see
Not the past, nor present
It is of our blood
When we are told by the old folk
To stop and smell the roses
We disregard the advisement
For it is all we know
How can we do anything else
But what is easy, what has been taught?
Despite that there is so much we miss,
So much we will not see
But you must challenge yourself
You must challenge your blood
Or one day, all that you will see
Is your own setting sun
I step into the bathtub and I pull the curtain across, creating a four walled space where I have only thoughts. I turn the wall-mounted temperature control and water flows like constant rain upon me. I turn the control to fit my temperature needs, the water is cold first-thenhot-then just right. The intensity of the liquid stream is weak on my back. I reach up to the shower head above and I adjust the intensity to reach it's highest setting. Water pounds on my back and makes me feel alive. Steam fills the space, wafting into my nose and obscuring my vision to a minor degree. Now that all is just right, I have nothing but time to ponder the my

I'm currently a 18 year old senior in High School who is refining his skills to one day be a professional writer.
I'm an INFP.
I'm a perfectionist, which means you won't see much of my work. A lot of what I've posted is absolutely terrible, but some of it I'm proud of. But I figured I need to have something out there, just to make myself feel somewhat accomplished.
We're glad to have you as a member and look forward to seeing your contributions!
We also hold a lot of contests with great prizes, so keep your eye out for them! We currently have our annual writing tournament underway. All the details can be found in the group blog.
